The delegation visited Kleinplasie Museum and the historic buildings, Zwelethemba, Worcester Industria, the Brandvlei Dam and the Worcester Airfield, as well as the wine and olive estates of the Nonna, Nuy and Aan-de-Doorns,
Councillor du Toit impressed the group with his passion and local knowledge of the history of Worcester, and in particular what development of Kleinplasie could provide for tourism in the area.
In her parting remarks Ms Schäfer highlighted the economic, and agri-tourism potential of the Worcester area saying that she felt “ totally inspired by the enthusiasm and drive of growing the economy of Worcester and surrounding areas!”. She highlighted some of the pertinent investment nodal points in the area and committed to taking these forward to her Standing Committee and the MEC of Economic Opportunities.” there is a white line obscuring the text just above?
We are looking forward to closer collaboration with the Western Cape Provincial Government to realise the full potential of Worcester for the benefit of all of her inhabitants.
